instant free $35 ? NO DEPOSIT

Post by eddiewoods on Sun Nov 23, 2008 1:38 am

I signed upto this site thinking i would get free $35 - WELL I DID instantly , no deposit too.
Then i realised the poker site has its own currency which is $0.10 to the real dollar.
Still it is $3.50 for nothing .
The games are ok and easy to win with quite a few players and good selection of games.
The site is aptly named NOPAYPOKER !

This is actually pretty cool

Post by Lord Mordo on Sun Apr 19, 2009 2:43 am

It focuses more on the having fun aspect of poker than making money aspect. If you just want to sit down and play small, friendly freerolls, one every half hour, than I would recommend it, and who knows, maybe you'll make a little money doing it too Smile

Well

I haven't had any trojan problems. As for the currency it's backed by the site. The make their money through advertising and all the playing is done using their "FreeD" which are each one U.S. penny. Like I said it's really not about the money.

Okay... I jumped into this one. I thought I'd try it out and get some more info about it for anyone who might like to try it out. Totally free poker site that you can win money on. They have what is called FreeD(free dollars)... the payout is 1 cent on the dollar(not the $0.10 as was stated above). They have several freerolls daley in the 100 FreeD to 250 FeeD range and I think one was 500 FreeD. THey also have some bigger ones to qualify for... through SnG's and the like and a step deal for Headsup play too. There are bigger freerolls to enter through qualifying that are like, 1,000...
5,000... 10,000... and a 20,000. The payout structure is probably going to hit the 20% for first place on these bigger ones. Now doing the math, the 20,000 FreeD one for example would be a first place prize of 4,000 FreeD(or $40 real money)! So that 20k FreeD freeroll would be just like a $200 freeroll. So there could be some potential for making SOME money on here.... at no risk at all. I'm in a 10,000 FreeD tomorrow I think.. if I don't forget about it. Their time is quite a bit different than stateside time... so I'll have to watch it lol!

I got in several of the freerolls and played a little bit on ring too! I made 6 final tables..a 1st(got into the champions qualifier with that win), a 2nd, a 3rd, 2-6th, and 1- 10th place finish. Several others ITM and some others I got donked on. It is a donkfest for sure, but not really any different than many other freerolls you'll run into. The SnG qualifiers for the bigger tourneys are doable... I have won 1 prelim ticket for the 20k and one step 1 for the 5k. The 10K that I'm in... I think I got qualified both from playing and doing some sponsor things(didn't buy anything..just filled out form to sign up.. didn't buy anything). The 10K tourney I'm in is called the $10,000 Sponsor Tournament. I really not sure what I did to get the ticket for it, but I registered for it and I'm in.

I likely won't stay on this site and do a lot on it, but I got curious and decided to try it out and report my findings here also. The ring games seemed easy to get winning pots on, but I only tried the $.02/$.04 for a while. Maximum you could bring in was $4 FreeD and I finished up with a little over $28 FreeD(equal to 28 cents). All total in my dealings so far on the NOPAYPOKER site is I won $202 FreeD which is the same as $2.02 real money. You can cash out, but there is a minimum amount of 3000 FreeD or $30 you have to earn in order to get the cash out. You get it out through PayPal, NETeller or MoneyBookers.

I would sum up by saying that if you want a place to play poker... chat.... and still have a potential to win some cash over time... and not risk one penny out of your pocket... this may very well be an answer for you. There are many thousands of players online that play only for chips... this would be a way for those players to play and win some actual money, have fun, and not risk a penny of their own. The software doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but it works well, has sounds and alarms, and is fairly attractive. Not at all a bad poker experience. Smile

seems like a lot of work for little reward. if you think about the mathematical aspect of it you would have to win 10X the amount there as you would a regular site just to break even. its hard enough to build a roll quickly while playing smart poker, i'm guessing it is more of a beginners site for learning the game. i don't see the point of a dollar not being worth a dollar either, in a way they are kind of lying to the consumer. maybe if they called it what it actually was they would get far less traffic. i will always support my fellow donkhard members in whatever they play, i would recommend they stick to the better EV tournaments if your looking to build a nice roll.

As I have already said, the main point isn't to build a bankroll, it's to have fun and enjoy poker constantly (tounament starting at least every half hour) without any risk of loss.

It's not really for begginers either, just folks who have these same values for the site they choose. I've found very competant competition on the site so far.

The point of having their own dollar with an exchange rate is two fold:
First, it makes it much easier to give out fractional awards. If they had $1 freerolls instead of 100 FreeD freerolls it would be impossible to award someone less than 1% of the pool.
Secondly, the amount a FreeD is in $US can change based on the amount of money the site brings in from their advertisers.

the players that do well there will eventually move on to bigger and better sites in my opinion. i believe it is a place for play money players to play and earn while they play, which makes it a great place for them. if i offered someone 10 bucks to jump through a hoop and after completion i gave them .10 and called it 10 ill bucks they would feel manipulated. i recommend pitbull poker $25 freerolls every half hour and also helps out our forum. it would be like playing a 2,500 freeroll every half hour at your site.

Well... upon further review and experience on this site... I see that they do have some good freerolls on here. They have some $5,000 ones(same as $50). I played in one today that was called The $10,000 FreeD Sponsor Tournament. It is the same as a $100 freeroll. It only had 28 entrants in it!!! Ten places were given out and first was $30!! There is also a $20,000 Monthly FreeD which is the same as a $200 freeroll anywhere else!! Soooo they do have some tournaments that you can win some good payouts with. Concentrate your efforts here at getting into these tourneys and good cash potential is there. I don't yet know how many entrants will be in the 20K FreeD($200) one, but it doesn't look as though there will be all that many in that one either. I just missed twice getting into it... think I may try it some more before they get it played for this month.

The 10,000 FreeD Sponsor Tournament ($100) one that I played in today... well I got donked 3 times in it and was out at 19th out of 28!! Mad It's a good looking tourney with only 28 entrants for the $100 prize isn't bad at all... in fact beats most freerolls out there. The only thing I had to do to get in was get $25 FreeD in sponsor clicks and I did that in one shot by just clicking on it and signing up... didn't have to buy anything... just filled out the info page and subitted it like many other things we probably all have done in the past. Dang.... I hated gettin' knocked out of that one... you got 3,000 chips on 12 or 15 minute blinds.. should have been able to get there on that one, but had to get my AA in deep twice and got beat... then got beat on an all in by a runner runner beat!! Mad

They use 10 player free SnG's to get you into the one 5,000 FreeD($50) .. enter as many times as you like for free to try to get a seat for it. I won a ticket for the next one of those. They give you one free ticket to a SnG for the Champions Final every Friday. If you don't get into it with your free ticket via the SnG.. you can purchase more SnG chances with $5 FreeD (same as 5 cents on the site) or you can buy in to the Champions Final with $100 FreeD(same as $1).

There also is a $5,000 FreeD Friends of Facebook ($50) Freeroll that is free to enter just by signing up at Facebook... if you already have a Facebook account you can still get in by doing the next 2 steps from the NOPAYPOKER site. It was easy to do so now I'm in 2 fifty real dollar tourneys and a Champions Final tourney (won't know how much it's worth until it starts.. it's a buy in too). All totally free no risk chances to make a little cash.

It may not be for everyone.. I just thought I'd go do it and pass on the info for anyone who likes to play for fun, but would like to have a shot at winning some cash with no risk at all in the bargain. Just sort of my review of this NOPAYPOKER site to put it out there for anyone who might be interested. Not all players like to play for real money, but here, you can play for basically play money and still potentially win some in the process.
