The topic here is update problems at Cake Poker. Please keep it on topic ladies and gents. Also, please read over the forum rules and stick to them. The rules are few and simple.

Well... back to the subject ...

Jimmy... there is a program .. which I'm sure you know about, but sometimes we don't utilize as much as we should. I'll mention it here in this post hoping to help someone else who may not know about it. It is System Restore. It is in Vista and XP. It allows you to set a restore point on your puter to be able to take your downloads back to a point in case you have a problem. They are very easy to put in...takes only a minute or so. Many times when we download and install a program or an update.. a problem may develope.. for whatever reason. Setting a restore point allows us to take our puter back in time to that point without losing any data whatsoever. It only will eliminate the download and installation that produced the problem. It takes up no space to set these restore points and they can be put in as often as we like. They can really be a lifesaver at times. So... set those restore points often.... they don't hurt a thing. Smile

So fellow poker players.... set a restore point before accepting an update(if you have time to lol) .. it might help prevent or get rid of a problem. Smile Cool

As for having a problem with Cake... I have done 2 updates.. one tonight just to check and see if Cake was ok... and it seems to be fine. I have, however, had my icon for Cake take on a generic look. That happened about 3 weeks or so ago. It doesn't look like the Cake it is supposed to be... but since it works fine.. I just ignore that part.
