Played a $10 guaranteed 25c buy-in NL Omaha a few minutes ago. Only 13 players registered, which only comes to $3.25 in buy-ins, meaning $6.75 added by Pitbull. Played a reasonable game and got $3 for 2nd (paid top three).

I look out for these low entry guarantee tournies on Noxwin (no luck yet), but I'll definitely be keeping an eye on Pitbull.

Their freerolls are alright and often, and not too hard to get 30c (18th place or better) a couple of times to start you off.

Are you a Fan of pocket jacks.

Pocket J J:

Pocket Jacks seem to be one of those hands that looks good but if the board hits with an over it shrinks up very fast.

1. Flop comes:

 A

 K

 Q

 Small Pair

At this point you are placed in a bad decision making position.

Good Luck

2. Flop comes no overs:

 All is good.

Turn or River comes with an over.

At this point you may have invested enough in the pot and may make a poor decision.

Again you are put ...

Apparently, you have to win with on the first river and then a second river card ! If not, the pot is split. My question is .. Does this happen at alot of casinos or is it a TV gimmick?

The question is how do you play if you are short Stacked and Card Dead.

Manny times in Tournament Play the cards go Cold and your chips start to Blind out till you are short stacked. What strategy do you use in this case.

My answer:

Honest Answer:

It may be to Late.

You can try to loosen up and steal a few blinds in position.

But you may appear weak and you will most likely be called.

We are only 5 players remaining in this tournament and i have the shortest stack with 65k + among others, and the post blind of 6000 starts at me, my card at hand is A 9 and i am very confident that it will win the preflop. I bet "All in" others fold but unluckily someone called it and his card was only 2 and K.. My card resulted to a pair of A's and lose to 2 three of a kind..

What a bad lost..Anyway, i ended up in 5th place.

Thank you for your contacting me about online gambling legislation. I appreciate your insights on this important issue.

Online financial transactions exist in many different activities, and are a technical and complex area of the law. The underlying principles I support with respect to online gambling are clear. Gambling websites must be secure and trustworthy, for both the client and the provider, with safeguards to exclude underage participants and protect those with excessive gaming ...

I have A good friend who is studying for his doctorate. The subject is "the dynamics of perception during playing games of chance. (specifically POKER)

He brings it over for me to read the updates about every two weeks. He has talked too and surveyed over 5000 poker players, both when engaged and away from the felt. He has traveled the entire continent, visiting and questioning players as well as gaming officials. He has probably read every book published on the subject in the past ...

As we all know, those are the names of the FTP pros, and it was on a $2 HORSE game. I quickly signed up and found myself playing against Alessio Isaia, who is one of the pros on the Full Tilt Team. We played 2 games, and we split them. But now I can actually say I have beaten a poker pro at his own game!. Here is the question.
Nick was playing a $1 S&G, and I decided to come rail and give him a little extra edge. It was childish, yes, but it wasn't more than five minutes after I started that he ended up winning the whole thing! Kudos to Nick on his win and shame on me for acting 5.

Is it just me or does fulltilt always show hands that I just don't see to much in a live game? I mean I play online and live at casinos and it just seems like on fulltilt you get these crazy hands that I just don't see in a live game. Maybe you just see alot more hands online but still i dunno just seems wierd.

Big Bet strategy

Heard several pros talk about it and i've read about it. Pretty great strategy. It involves playing every hand according to the strength of position and such and when being the first to enter a pot raise it 5X BB and to re raise do like 7X. I read about it in Daniel's book. It actually was my strategy in the only tourney i won so it works!! and there is more to it of course than this lol

one of the important things that helps me succeed in tournys is that i rarely call raises. i like to be the raiser and not the caller. i see people all the time calling with middle or bottom pair early in tournaments trying to catch something to take the lead. i have also seen people call all ins with a flush draw when they had a decent stack size. calling a raise gives you one chance to win, having the best hand. when you make a raise you give yourself two ways to win the pot, making someone ...
