i may show up back over at pitbull, but don't know if i'll be able to get back in. i told them to disable my account. i don't think i went on tilt there, but i sure wanted too. don't really think like that. i just won a tourney while ago on carbon poker in private tourneys. if i say who it was ya'll might censor it. i float around alot of forums. i like to get as much info and tips as i can about playing poker, i learn some new every day, i just try to remember all this stuff i'm reading and see if i can add this too my game to help me inprove. i've won 2 tourneys in the last week and made it to the final table 2 other times. i think i'm improving a little, but when i went and played at the pitbull site it seems like i constantly lost. i'll looc up the next tourney here and see if i can get back on the pitbull site.

i believe you're account will still be active, as i made the same request ... funny enough though, are you surprised that they didn't accommodate?

there is a $1 + .25 private donkhard tournament at pitbull on jan. 17

happy to learn of your recent success ... may the momentum carry you to further beneficial results!

and mlkmn ... don't be shy about posting some of what you're learning to the strategy threads here. we may all be donks, but if we combine our knowledge ... it'll be genius!

pitbull has issues for sure!

Post by datsme53 on Wed Dec 31, 2008 6:02 pm

I have played on pitbull a little while, since being a member here on Donkhard. I have a new puter... quad core 750gb...8gb DDR2 ram... nice graphics card with 512mb dedicated memory.... a pretty good horse, and I have cable internet... very fast and reliable. I have been bumpped off of games many times. I had a good start on one of their freerolls the other day and was switched to a different table and didn't get back in to play until I went from 7800 chips to 3150 chips!! Went on their chat deal and followed all their directions and couldn't get back on for a long time. They said we're sorry and that they are working on problems.

If I keep playing on this site... it will be only freerolls until they get some bugs out for sure. I couldn't think of it being more frustrating unless I put down real cash and got the business like this site has been doing me so far. I'll keep trying for a while longer to see how it goes.

i can tell u now that those glitches have been going on for a while. it seems like they are doing nothing about them. here is 1 instance. a lot of times on the very 1st hand a a tourney some players can't see their cards. this still happens today, it was happening 2 yrs ago too. i noticed it was happening in a stud game there yesterday randomly thru out the tourney. i think their computers have gotten some worms or even some horses.

lol ... ok, i'll add a couple more issues to the pitbull list of problems.

when a tournament goes on break, it is not displayed at the table. this has the same appearance compared to a stalled game (not uncommon). i almost left a tournament thinking it could be up to 30 of 45 minutes before it started. i have likely given up on games for this reason previously.

when playing add-on tournaments, pitbull does not display the cost or chip value of the add-on until after the first break has ended.

Great place to play

Post by hopenodonk on Thu Jan 01, 2009 12:47 pm

I have been playing on Pitbull for a while now and enjoy playing there quite a bit. Sure sometimes there may be a little glitch here and there but the freerolls are great and the Bonuses are the best that I know of in terms of eases of clearing the points. 50 points per 5 bucks released with 100 percent reload bonus you cant beat anywhere. There seems to be more traffic these days, as well and the new look black tables are easy on the eyes. In the past I had heard people saying they were having problems withdrawling. Not true for me,my first withdrawl was completed within 36 hours from the time I put the request in. Also the support is the best on the net if you ask me,ive never had to wait more than 20 seconds to get instant chat help. Anyway I think Pitbull is great

Got one tourney completed without problems!

Post by datsme53 on Thu Jan 01, 2009 1:15 pm

I played a freeroll on pitbull yesterday that I was able to play all the way to a 12th place finish without being knocked off even once. It was a much better experience this time, not because of the finish, but because of the smoothness of the program this time. If pitbull can perform like that with some consistancy, it will be a much better experience for sure. Hey!!.... Back to the 12 th place finish..... I was moved to a table late in the tourney where this one player was wiping up people with all in moves that didn't make any sense at all. Some were preflop with nothing and some were post flop all ins and some were just out and out bluffs... in most cases he sucked out a runner runner hit or a river liver special. I got in a hand, my last one to the 12th place finish, where I was on the button. Another player with a shorter stack called the blind, he raised to 3 times that, I called with A,7 off suit. The flop came 2,A,8 all different suits. The other player bets 3 times the blind...(I figure he prob. has an Ace)... this guy raises that by 1,700 more. I figure he can't have an ace and must have had a pretty good pocket pair. I take it to all in thinking if the other player calls with the small stack, and he calls... all I have to do is beat him to really come out big. If he folds the worst that can happen is I lose it all to the smaller stack and I could take that hit... so I go all in. The other player is all in now and he, sure enough, calls(he has more chips). The other player had A,6 and he had K,K! I got the best I could hope for! The turn comes in with a 7! I figure I got it and am going to be near the chip lead! The river comes with a K! He wins it all and sucksout for the umteenth time!!! I finish 12th and can only shake my head!....POKER!

Hey just for giggles.... would you have played this hand in a similar manner?

This problem happened during peak hours yesterday and last night. Helluva time to have troubles like that. Looks fine now, but they were down for hours!

Thanks guys.... I have been able to play today at Pitbull... not without incident however... lol. I took over 15 minutes to get one of the freerolls started. Players at my table just sat around and made jokes about Pitbull. Smile Later on another freeroll we sat for at least 10 minutes in the middle of the tourney waiting for the program to get going again! pale Finished 31st and 28th in a couple today. Just when I think I'm going to break out and easily get into the top of the tourney... someone hits a runner runner to end my tourney.... poker..lol. Rolling Eyes

Played one freeroll this far on Pitbull, wasn't impressed by the flash software and the tournament even froze me out for about ten minutes until I could sit down. However, I will say the service is impresive. 24 hour chat assistance and they even called me back in 5 minutes about the free $10! Going to try it out tonight and come back with my own review in the morning.
