Super Systems 1+2

I loved these books. Mainly because they taught me how to be patient, solid, and realize that ring games are not a place to try to felt someone every single hand, like in a tournament.
I loved the sections on mixed games really. Brunson's and Harman's sections on Hold Em are nice, but I already knew most of the stuff. Doyle's section taught me to be a little looser and a little more solid.

anyone else really like these ones?

I love the Super System books as well, especially Todd Brunson's chapter on seven card stud hi/lo 8b in Super System 2. It is probably the definitive writing on that game, and marriages well with Ted Forrest's chapter on it in the Full Tilt Guide.

so are these books as good as all what i've heard? everyone says that doyle's work is critical to becoming a poker genius like the man himself.

I have been interested in these books and have heard alot of good things. I guess Im going get them. Ive won mike matusows but have never read a poker book or watched dvd I wonder how much they help I guess ill buy supersystems 1&2 and find out.
