Re: Your favorite hand?
My favorite hands are:
9 10, K10, K9 QQ
I always always lose to AA or KK and even sometimes JJ. I have come to believe its bc I am a girl, always meant to win with QQ. hee hee haa haaa. j/k I can't seem to win with MONSTER hands, maybe also because my name is teene, meant for winning those sneaky hands. (cause small people can sneak around better)
i blame it on poker karma

Re: Your favorite hand?
i won my first live tournament with 77, was my favorite hand for a long time. at this point of time i have played so much poker that i no longer have a favorite hand. on the cash tables the suited connectors are very profitable when you connect and run into a big pocket pair, so i enjoy playing them even to a small raise.

Re: Your favorite hand?
My favorite hand is 5 deuce suited. Yeah, I am a sick, sick man. The old 5 2 is my "ten-deuce." I have won some major hands and some big pots with this hand. Somehow, it's just lucky for me. I don't play poker based on luck, I think of poker as more of a battle against luck, but the 5 2 is my little piece of lucky, my Bingo hand.
The beauty about this hand is that when it hits, I win big pots, because no one sees it coming. Because it's such a weak hand, it's super easy to get away from when it misses the flop, and therefore it's not the kind of hand I'll lose alot of money with (unlike AA).
I remember one time a long while back I cracked AA with my 5 2 in a ring game. The guy who had aces and I were the big stacks at the table. He let out a small raise from middle position and I called from late. We ended up all-in on the turn (where I hit my straight).
As I was raking in all of his chips, I heard him mumble "Who in the hell calls a raise with 2 5."
Being the wise-ass I am, I immediately shot my hand up in the air like a 1st grader in class and answered his question. "Ooooo, me! I do!"
He left, mumbling insults with a bitter look on his face

Re: Your favorite hand?
hahaha TBD that's a funny story.
But i'd be pretty mad too if my AA got beat by 5-2.

Re: Your favorite hand?
you mean your AA hasn't been cracked by 52 yet, you must not be playing enough internet poker, lol. i do a lot of AA cracking with some bad hands tbd but not with 52. if i get the opportunity i will try to crack a pair with your hand and post a screenshot, should be a fun task, might take a while.

Re: Your favorite hand?
Just a few key points on playing the 5 2 successfully:
1st: Gotta be suited, that way when someone gets mad you, you can say, "But it was soooted!"
2nd: Play this hand only from strong position. What you will hit most often is nothing. 2nd most is a draw. You don't want to have to draw out of position.
3rd: I won't typically call a raise with this one. I will make the exception though if the following criteria are met:
* The raise is not more than 4 Big Blinds
* I have position on the raiser
* There are other callers on the table between me and the original raiser.
Good luck with the 5 2. Let us know when you crack a big one with it!

Re: Your favorite hand?
I didn't get 5-2 suited at all today. I was looking for it, and I would have played it, but all I got was 5-2 off. Oh well, maybe tomorrow :]

Re: Your favorite hand?
I would have been pissed too..lol I had a simular story of defeat that I posted a week or 2 back...a guy pushes all in with 72 off with a big stack i called with AA and lost!!! That guy you kicked was so pissed he might of been waiting in a bush for you ..LOL You are a brave man to play that hand with confidence..The Big Donk wrote:My favorite hand is 5 deuce suited. your favorite hand?
whatever gets me the chippies!! ....if I'm getting in the pot cheap enough almost any suited connectors/connected cards/one off semi connected or small pairs ... if its a large pot with raises or even reraises then its larger pairs and higher suited connectors...everyone likes the big shiney cards but my favorite high percentage winning start hand is QQ ... seem to hit a third quite often even in the face of other player with a hole Q like KQ or AQ

My Favorite Hands:
QQ because i win like all the time with this hand.
AA because already high and most probable to win pre-flop, but I got beat by like 56 with AA.
10 J suited because always get it and win over half the time.
Overall, all 3 of those hands are good with me.
