the loss of the legend Les Paul

Post by Surf Rat on Thu Aug 13, 2009 12:54 pm

What a Face My first electric guitar was a black Les Paul with sunburst and white trim my parents bought for me at age 16 after 3 years of learning to play on a old accustic my cousin had " loaned " to me ....I loved that guitar and played it 'till the frets were worn uneven on the neck and the finish was faded .....wish I still had it.
Les Paul the musician and inventor of the modern electric guitar and multitrack recording died yesterday at age 94 from complications of pneumonia Crying or Very sad .Over his career he made 36 gold records and had 11 #1 pop hits and won 2 grammys and contribited electric inspiration to the world and guitarist of all styles and his signiture guitars were treasured by some of the worlds best guitarist. He will be missed but his larger than life legacy will live on forever as long as musicians play the electric guitar and record on a multitrack board that he brought into the world of music.
