Summer is one of the times where I too step away from the virtual felt. But I do tend to go on trips with the wife and daughter, and since we all love to wager on different games of chance, I get an opportunity to go to a few casinos in California and Nevada (they have casinos in Nevada you say???) and do a little live action poker play. Hopefully it will hone up my skills for the day I retire and become a real degenerate poker gambler!!

Good to take time off! After a lot of playing this addictive game, I find my eyesight is getting worse! Not to mention sitting on my butt for hours can't be good for the ticker. So it's good to take time off, I'm cutting down to 16 hours a day! Good luck! What a Face

I agree... playing too much can be hard on you all around. Today will be my last intense day of poker for quite a while. I'm playing the PokerStars Reload $20,000 tourneys today. I'm in all 5 of em today... played in 2 so far with nothing to show for it lol. Got donked out in last one 2 hands in a row... river K for a pair and a river A for a pair to beat me. 1st one.. was in it for over 2 hours and lost ... I had A,K flop came K,Q,J rainbow... I pushed the rest of my chips in and ran into Q,J off... lol! That pot would have easily put me ITM. Hope to do better in next one.

I'll be taking time off from poker during the week for the most part... and hopefully get to play some on weekends.
Good luck at the felts and may the flops be with you all.

Funny you should mention that..as i have been recently reducing the number of games i play as of late...but it is more due to work than actual summer fun.

I agree lately i have been playing way to much and winning very little. I have begun to hate the 1 cent tourments on pokerstars. If you dont have a hand in first 2 mins.. you are out. It is like a lottery in that tourment
