Want to Get Staked into Poker Tournaments for Free?

Rob Baker is looking to stake some poker players into a series of poker tournaments on Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet.

He's willing to pay the buy-in and entry fees in exchange for a 50/50 split of the prizes and he is actively seeking tournament players for:

9 x $1 stakes at http://rakebacktakeback.com/poker-forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=94
and
3 x $10 stakes at http://rakebacktakeback.com/poker-forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=95

Looks like the goal is to find a strong player(s) to award $200 stakes to for entry into the $200,000 Guaranteed.

tbd i was wondering if this was a personal friend of yours or how you came across this information. i think we have a couple players that could do well in the small buy in tournys, if anybody decides to give it a shot i will be rooting for you and tracking your progress, make me proud.

RakebackTakeback is actually one of our sponsors, but I don't keep up as much on their goings-on as I probably should. I have been in direct contact with the guy who runs the forum via Twitter, which is where I actually came across the info regarding staking.

I actually applied for the round of the $1 stakes myself and was already approved. Looks like I'm the first who's applied. I'll be playing my first game in about 3 hours.

He's still looking for more players to stake, so anyone who's interested ought to go give it a shot!

I ended up dumping out not too far outside the money. Bummer. But I will try, try again. This game runs every night at 22:30. It's actually the only dollar MTT they have left that's not a turbo that I can find.

I played one of those horrible turbos recently and I find them ridiculous. Blinds are up at 200 within 30 minutes. If we're gonna just roll the dice like that, let's play the Kamikaze and get it over with! Just my opinion.

After careful consideration I have applied also and am waiting for a reply. I don't really have much of a hand history at UB so I used you as a reference TBD. Hope that is not a problem and maybe soon see you at the tables there.

hogster i see you doing very well with this opportunity. the blind structure is nice and slow so it should benefit you to play on the cereus network. good luck, i will possibly join you for the game if i'm around.

Awesome, Hogster. I'll see you there. I've still got 7 more games on my stake. I donked out somewhere around the 140th position (81 paid) the first night. Wasn't able to play the next night when my computer took a s*** but the good(?) news is now I have Windows Vista. Booyah! I'm not saying I downloaded it for free or anything but I sure as hell didn't buy it in the little package with the $600 price tag on it!

Anyhow, so last night I played my 2nd game and got even closer to the money but donked out when:

I've got about 12 or so BBs left. I'm in the SB with KT. two players limp in early, so I like my odds to complete. Big Blind checks. Flop goes T K J. I go all in. Big Blind folds, UTG folds, and the guy with AK and about 50 Big Blinds of course calls (I would have,too).

Turn comes a Jack. lsetrghfluzgr!! Counterfiet, and no Jack, King or Ten on the river to save me.

Glad it's a 9 game stake, or I'd be in pretty bad shape!

Played my 4th staked game tonight and made ITM and final table bothe first for this stake. Came in 7th and won $16.36 here is a screenshot. Might add the guy in 2nd Tatonkka is also one of the staked players.

been waiting to hear about you taking advantage of this opportunity. great finish. it will be tough getting another final table but your man enough to do it. good luck in the next few and hopefully you will have the chance to be staked in a couple bigger buy ins in the future.

Very nicely done Hoggy! Rockin' the 25% FT rate... that's awesome. Glad to hear it's going well so far. I've been having a pretty rough go myself. Only 2 ITMs so far and nothing real deep. Hope to see you make another FT or 2 before it's over. With a little luck maybe I'll be there with you, too!
