The Golden West Casino

In Bakersfield Ca, there is a poker room called the Golden West Casino. I had an opportunity to go there today, and played a little live poker. I playes some hold-em and a game called pai-gow poker. Did pretty well, walked away a meager winner in both games. If you're ever in Kern County, Ca, and have a couple of hours to spare, try this place. Freindly, and the action is small to medium, but good action. They also have some pretty sizeable bad- beat jackpots, even on their smallest limit tables.
The best hand of the day was pocket Q's, and flop Q-7-10. I checked, and a lady at the other end bet. I called. On the turn she bet agai, and I was forced to raise, which she re-raised. I suspected 2 pair, and called when she raised again. On the river, she bet again, i raised she reraised, and at that point I went all-in. She called. She threw her cards on the table with an air of defiance, as if she had won (she had pkt 10's, and I was more than happy to show her my Q's and take the pot. Good hand.

I pass through there pretty regularly between Vegas/LA and NorCal, and I'm always looking for new places to play. Never heard of this one, but if you could let me know where it's at, that'd be cool. I'd like to try it out one of these days. If not I can google the directions I'm sure.

What stakes do they run out there in the poker room? Maybe we could get them to open us a table and we could sit down for a friendly Heads-Up Dodgers vs. Giants fan poker battle.

Donk, they have 2-4, 3-6, 5-10, and no limt of course. By the way...you were right, no such thing as "friendly" between a Dodger and a Giants (blech...bad taste in my mouth all of a sudden) fan. LOL!! Let me know when you pass through and maybe...I'd love to meet a fellow player.
