Funding methods Empty Funding methods

Post by awry13 Wed Nov 12, 2008 12:55 pm

Please post your preferred funding methods, and the country you live in. I am in the US and I don't like to have my personal account information on the web so I buy VISA gift cards and use them to put money in my account. But so far this only works on FullTilt. I tried Pokerstars and Bodog on several occasions and the deposits were always declined. The failure may be due to the issuing institution though. The brand "All Access" is issued by an international bank and was recommended to me as a US friendly way to fund my poker account. I don't think I had an All Access VISA when I tried Bodog and Pstars.

I started out with the freerolls on FTP and won some money to get started. Now I don't want to spend the hours necessary to get in the money when there are 2400 or 2700 in the hourly freerolls. Nothing worse than spending 2+ hours in a tournament only to bust out just before the money.

I find it easy to play the freerolls, but I usually do get sucked out at least once and tilt my chips away. I play full tilt poker exclusively, and I found that e-checks are very easy. Just have a check handy and type in the account info and the amount and its transfered. Personally I like this method best.

The All Access Visa and Mastercard Gift Cards work for Full Tilt and PokerStars. I have never had a problem depositing on those sites with them.

P.S. Purchase them at Speedway and use your Speedy Card and get an assload of SpeedyPoints when you purchase them.

Hi, I also bought gift cards to deposit on Pokerstars and was declined..Im in the US. then i contacted stars about it and they told me that i would have to buy one from a check cashing company. its different than the ones you get from walmart or kroger. anyway, they gave me the locations of the stores, I googled them and one was just down the road from me .. seen it but never thought much about it.. went there bought my 50.00 visa, made my deposit on line. never had a problem after that. hope that helps.. What a Face I don't know if the original poster of the question is still keeping tabs on this but ...... the problem of course with being a USA poker player is most companys don't want to chance messin with the govt. over the UIEGA which is about controlling and tracking the transfering of funds TO and FROM Poker/Casino sites...prepaid credit cards may let you deposit but most do not allow paybacks(hypocritical of them)from the poker/casino sites cashier if/when you win $$$ and want to cashout....each site is different in how they handle cashouts to us and what if anything they charge for that method and most sites have a limited number of online transfer companys working with the site and fewer that handle USA players so you may end up with several transfer methods for the several sites you want to play on...NOW their is a company called(and I am not being a spammer I have no affiliation with them other than being a client) PIC-CLUB that has started working with the USA friendly sites in particular to make life easier for us and not get in trouble over transfering OUR money TO and FROM these sites....easy to fund and use...I use them at several of the sites I play at and have had very satisfying results with transfers both to and from them back to my account and then back to me for "BBQ supplies" Wink ...check them out and see if they are available with the sites you are playing on....also besides their negotiations with the different Poker/casino sites you can help by sending a email to your favorite poker sites support Email address and ask them to consider useing them as a method of transactions for their USA players. bounce
