ok twice in a space of 5 hrs on 2 different networks i get beat by a straight flush...once while holding a full house and once while having the ace high flush...the latter cost me an exreme amount as the river cardwhich gave the player his st flush came after the all in......lately its just been like that...but to even see 2 st flushes in a month would be something...but having to beat me for real cash 5 hours apart on 2 different networks...thats unreal!

Hey well.... I think a lot of us, if not all of us, can identify with your frustrations for sure! I know I've had the brunt of many such beats that really are hard to take, and sometimes they come in bunches for sure. There would be probably one thing that I would tend to disagree in your post here... that would be the last 2 words...."thats unreal!". I would just say that two words that seem to always describe what can go on in the game, that we can all indentify with is........ that's Poker!

that my friend is one bad day at the tables but wow 2 royals in 5 hrs and both to beat u just out of curiosity what were the 2 sites heck been playin about a yr now and only seen 2 cant wait to get 1 though. gl on the felts

the 1st was at players only...i,m not screaming unfair but in 24 hrs there i had seen some just crazy community cards and tough beats...so it wasnt much of a shock;;;the 2nd was at carbon poker..and tho it could happen at any time....i just gotta disagree with the thats poker comment..losing the hand yes,getting a bad beat yes,even getting a bad beat by a straight flush,yup thats poker but the odds of have it happen twice in 5 hrs...well i did a lil math...the all out odds of the hand appearing are 1 in 64,397 hands..if your the average tight player like me you might at most seev10 hands in 1 hour to comclusion...which is what this hand requires...so having hit the 1 in 64,000 possibility 5 hrs earlier and at most having played 50 hands...factoring in the the appearance of 1 5hrs earlier leaves this conclusion...your saying the possibilty of hitting a st flush 2 in 50 hands is 1 in 3,000,000 ok so you play poker 8 hrs a day 6 days a week thats 48 hours in 1 hour you play 10 hands thats 480 hands so what should have taken this player 100 weeks to see again happened in 5 hrs...no sir thats unreal.

carrying out the math and continuing the 8 hrs a day 6 days a week...why this is going to happen again....in 102 more years...

I did something like that at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, escept I was the one that won. Stright flush v quads. And the bad beat jackpot was about 14,000 dollars that day. And I got 1/4th, for being the winner (plus the pot) 3500 cold hard smackeroos!!!

sounds like you hit a bit of bad luck. i got hit last week with quad Kings, by a st8 flush, knocked me out of the tourney, i haven t been fortunate enough to have it happen twice in same day... thank the poker gods. probably would have shut my computer down for a week ...not

you're NOT cursed.........I AM !!!!!!! i lost two hands to straight flushes a couple weeks ago.....IN THE SAME TOURNEY !!!! both clubs... both J hi !! first one I flopped 9s full of 7s with pocket 9s 977 rainbow flop fish called with J 7 clubs turn was 10clubs river 8clubs for runner runner straight flush! second one I made K hi flush with K 6 clubs on the BB opponent had 8 10 clubs flop 9c 7c x river was J clubs & was the ONLY club I lose to ! these hands both came within 1/2 hour of each other in the same tourney on the infamous full tilt poker !!!
I don't even want to know the odds !!! knowing the odds to this and the rest of the rediculous beats I've taken over the last few months might make going out & buying a gun too tempting !!! although on a lighter side has anyone ever seen the movie "The Cooler" ??? that's starting to look like a great job for someone with my qualifications
