pitbull poker down
i tried to go on pitbull again today and could not get to the site, so i typed it in on yahoo and tried, when i got to site it says system down, switching it's servers, could this possibly mean that they are going to get rid of the flash poker? and get a downloadable version. i hope so, will be a great poker site if they do. they have had nothing but problems with the flash player they are running... only time will tell whats going to happen with site. let's hope for the best

Re: pitbull poker down
sly i play the 7studh/l every night there but had same problem last 2 nights. i contacted support and they said by noon today but no guarantees. as for them getting rid of the flash, doubt it, this isn't their first time moving servers so i expect them to be staying the same.

Re: pitbull poker down
I'm hoping that this will be the end of the freezing problems at Pitbull. In my opinion, an upgrade is long overdue. The old servers may have been fine when they were just getting started and didn't have many players, but it seems now with so many people using the site that the freeze-up issues have just become all part of the game when playing there.
I'm excited to play there once the upgrades are complete. Should be alot smoother, hopefully more like playing on downloaded software.

I really do understand, having different poker rooms. Trust me, from a easy money standpoint online, but why choose pitbull? For one, they always seem to have problems with their software, and flash just sucks, as do flash casinos.
Two it seems like everytime I give them a chance, because I have played on about every poker site on the net, they give me some awsome promotion deal. Yet I can go online, and read forums, how someone got ripped off, or it took forever for their money to get there.
The dude who runs it even has even responded to these claims, don't remember his name. The point being when they really laid into him, he stopped posting. 2+2 nailed him a few times too I guess, players there insisting it is a scam. Those guys are rollers over there.
The point being is, I play alot of online poker, and guys with all the rooms out there, why chose pitbull poker, everytime I try to clear them, with good customer service and bonuses, I find yet another source to discredit them. Why in the world, play there......on top of the software problems.
I don't know if they are good or bad either way, my research has suggested it is at best shady. You want a good small poker room, with weak players, carbon, poker fan, aced, raider poker, and go hard poker, are all better. So unless you scored big with a freeroll on there, or have money on there, why waste your time with PB?

Re: pitbull poker down
I spend my time on Pitbull because of the weakness of the players (Donkhard Players excluded from that statement, of course!)
I've found the site to be very profitable, and withdraw from there regularly, once every 2 weeks to be exact. The stakes around there don't usually run to high, but it makes a nice supplement and has afforded me some buy-ins for higher end tournies on other sites.
As far as it being a scam. Any site could be a scam. Who can tell? More often than not, people get away with s**t. It's only on those rare occasions when someone gets caught that we all stop just pointing fingers and actually begin to use caution, much like the folks who buy the disaster preparedness kits, bottled water, radios, flashlights, batteries, and canned goods after the major earthquake hits.
I've never personally had any problems with money on Pitbull. As a matter of fact, I'm happier with their banking system than any other site out there. The send me 2 free checks per month (NO FEES! What?! Nice!) which consistently arrive within 36 hours of hitting the cashout button (the one exception was my first withdrawal was pending for a bit, which is understandable and typical on most sites). Never had a problem there myself.
But I understand that each person's own unique experience is different. On FT for example, my wife cannot deposit with her Visa card, but I can deposit with mine. You mentioned some Merge sites as being solid, though I've had some minor problems on a certain Merge site (issues which have since been resolved).
I'd say everyone's got to go with what works for them. My personal #1 concern is cashouts. If a site pays me, especially if they have a good field of loose players, I stick around. If a have problems with withdrawals, I find another site to fill those shoes. After all, there are plenty of them out there!

Re: pitbull poker down
el donko your right about the software issues there. i have cashed out of there several times for a couple thousand dollars total. they pay immediately and have in my opinion the best support of all the poker rooms. although they are not my favorite site i will always play there. by the way 600 comp points away from my free pitbull golf shirt.
