Low end of a straight flush Empty Low end of a straight flush

Post by KEVINfromHB Sun Aug 24, 2008 4:31 pm

Just wanted to put a screen shot of a bad beat I had happen today. I didn't for the life of me go all in, so I was able to stick around for a few more hands. But it put me on tilt so bad that I never regained composure. What is this world becoming when you lose with a straight flush?

I wasn't enev supposed to be in this hand. My cards were not playing cards. But because I was BB and the guy that beat me limped in...I got to see the flop. The next betting was chk/chk, and then the fun began.

When the :7c: hit, I had a straight. So as not to "scare off my opponent, I dropped a min bet, he called. I thought I had him all the way, and still had possibilities for glory with the straight flush.

Then it happened...the :7d: came on the river, and I was ecstatic. I got him! Even if he had the :Ad:. In fact, I was hoping for it! I bet about half my stack, and all he did was CALL. I was officially through!!!

Here's the screen shot of my misery. Don't laugh too hard.\

That would almost be enough to make me slap someone. I think that is the toughest break I have ever heard about

Actually, at the Commerce Casino in the Los Angeles area, I was involved in a hand that I had straight flush, and my opponent had quads. We split a bad beat jackpot of 14,000, and I rec'd 3500 plus the pot. He rec'd 10,500. Not bad for a losing hand huh? Like a Star @ heaven Like a Star @ heaven Like a Star @ heaven
