Here is a list of the hand rankings, with the best hand being on top down to the weakest hand at the bottom:

1. Royal Flush
2. Straight Flush
3. Four of a Kind
4. Full House
5. Flush
6. Straight
7. Three of a kind
8. Two Pair
9. One Pair
10. High Card

Descriptions of each hand:

1. Royal Flush - A straight from a ten to an ace and all five cards of the same suit.

Example:

Also known as: Royal.

The most powerful hand in Hold 'em. If you ever find yourself holding a Royal Flush, you are guaranteed to win the hand.

2. Straight Flush - Five cards in sequence, all of the same suit.

Example:

Also known as: B-29

Only beatable by a royal or a higher straight flush. When two players
have a straight flush, the player with the highest cards in that
straight flush will win the hand.

3. Four of a Kind - Four cards of the same rank.

Example:

Also known as: Quads

4. Full House - Three matching cards of one rank, and two matching cards of another rank.

Example:

Also known as: Boat

5. Flush - Five cards of the same suit, not in rank sequence.

Example:

When more than one player has a flush, the winner is decided then by the rank of the cards in the flush.

6. Straight - Five cards of sequential rank but in more than one suit.

Example:

7. Three of a kind - Three cards of the same rank.

Example:

Also known as: Trips or a Set

8. Two Pair - Two cards of the same rank, plus two cards of another rank (that match each other but not the first pair).

Example:

Also known as: Up

9. Pair - Two cards of the same rank.

Example:

10. High Card - When no two cards have the same rank, the five cards are not in sequence,
and the five cards are not all the same suit.

Example:

Also known as no pair, nothing, garbage, rags, and various other
derogatory terms.

The weakest hand of all. Will only beat a lower ranked high-card-hand.
