Private Freeroll for "Top Posters"

In an effort to reward our most active members, I would like to sponsor a private freeroll for our Donkhard.com forum members who post the greatest number of topics and replies. These must be quality posts. Post spamming, or posts such as "yeah" or "I farted," are not quality posts.

What I am seeking is legitimate questions, answers, strategies, suggestions, comments, stories, etc. Of course the posts can be poker related, but can also be related to the other topics which we discuss on our site, such as sports or sports betting, lotteries, bingo, and other forms of gambling, introductions, humor, and even quality posts in our off-topic discussion and suggestions for improving our site.

This freeroll is still a ways out, so everyone here has plenty of time to get there post counts up. I'm also still unclear on exactly how we will define our "Top Posters." I'm thinking something along the lines of the top, say 10% to 25% of posters, or maybe just anyone with a certain number of quality posts.
All suggestions on this matter will be considered and are greatly appreciated.

great idea to give a spec tourny for the top members as thats the people a site needs not just abusers who are here for the free passwords

I'm noticing that this thread may be old. If it isn't, when do you think this might occur, or has it already? And if it has...will there be another one coming up soon? Donk, you guys are way kind for hosting as many tounies as you do, and I really am appreciative of it. I'll keep on stopping by and dropping lines every few days. Hop that some of my content is worthwhile for some to read.

Full tilt will not write a check for under $100. and they ask you to prove you made a deposit by credit card even though you did and they should know it. So I don't even bother with freerolls there. They are my least favorite site.

I see that we are still talking about a freeroll for top posters . I myself play on Full Tilt all the time and I love it there, As far them writing checks I have gotten several from them. I couldn't tell you if they write checks for under $100. I never asked them to do that and I am not sure what that's about. As far as setting up games, they are real easy to do so on. If your taking votes mine is for FULL TILT

Mine would be a split vote between either Full Tilt due to the popularity of the site or Doyle's Room due to the fact that it's where I'm holding the $10,000 Challenge (I think I've got enough posts to qualify for a "Top Posters" game), and I'm just overall really enjoying everything about the site right now.

I also love the idea of 3K starting chips and 15 minute blinds, although I know there are others who prefer the opposite end of the spectrum. I've always been partial to poker tournaments that favor skill over luck, as I've never been very lucky (exception: meeting my wife). To me, the live "local daily" tournaments and online turbos are more like craps or roulette, whereas live multi-day events and online double/extreme stacks just feel more like poker to me. I'm a long haul guy, and have always enjoyed spending hours (and sometimes even days) on end at a poker table, regardless of the prize.

Keep those ideas and opinions rolling, and let's make this a game that all of our Top Posters can enjoy.

I am not sure how you set up these freerolls, like contacting sites or not. But have you ever checked with FTP or Doyle's about altering the structure of the tournaments?

I like structures that promote long term skill over who is card-racking(not that I mind when I am lucky enough to be the one racking cards), or catching good flops and jamming in when the blinds are high.

I'm game for either. I agree with 10Zav01, skill over luck

if it's going to a vote ... then i'll throw mine in for 'full tilt'. deepstack looks good, i'd say make it even better and go for 4.5k or 5k to start, and all for the 15min blinds too!

hell just make it like the old WSOP main event.... 1hr blinds, 10k stack, 10/20 blinds haha
could you imagine how long we'd all be there? could you imagine how good the poker would be, considering people could make the proper decisions easier, or bluff easier?

dont think anyone would want that though, say if 25 people played, it would probably last 2 days haha

I have yet to determine an exact number of posts. I am more leaning toward the idea of going with members who have a certain number of "average posts," which is to say the average number of posts per day since joining the donkhard. So it would be more about rewarding the active members, regardless of how long they've been here. that way even brand new members would have the same chance of qualifying as our "O.G.'s"

Remember: Quality counts! When deciding who plays, the quality of the posts is absolutely vital. Members with tons of worthless crap posts and spam will not be playing this game. Only our most active members providing quality posts will participate.

• A contribution that would help someone to improve their game(remember that there are players of all different levels here: from pros to folks who've never even played a hand before).

• Strategy

• Advice

• News from the poker world

• or any other useful information

• Even tips related to Sportsbetting, Bingo, Casino Games, or even a gut-busting joke in our "jokes" section would be appropriate.

And I must also emphasize that not everyone has advice to offer. Many beginners are here simply to learn. If I were to give advice on how to install a bay window I'd come off sounding like a f$#%ing retard. But if I were to ask a carpenter for advice, I could learn alot.

So please, no matter who you are or what your skill level may be, please don't be afraid to ask what may seem like the most simple question. You may be pleasantly surprised at the amount of help you may receive.

Posting a new thread with a single, simple question could spark a firestorm of replies, and that one question would hold tons of weight in regards to "quality posts."

Ive played on several sites and I would say my favorites are Doyles room(how could you not pull for the sports 1 true icon) and pitbull is by far the easiest money to win with their 25 dollar freerolls every hour
